Background and (brief) playing career

I have been playing squash since the age of 4, brought up at the famous Devon & Exeter Squash and Racketball Club in Exeter, United Kingdom. My junior career included a 3rd place finish at U15 National Schools finals and playing in 1st string for the Devon U15 teams. In my university career to-date, I was Men's 1st string at Lancaster University and earned a Blue at the University of Cambridge by playing for their Men's first team vs. University of Oxford in the annual varsity. I am currently a Performance Sport athlete for squash at the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE), which is one of the world's leading university squash programmes. At UWE, I am manager and captain of the UWE Bristol Buccaneers Premier and UWE Bristol Buccaneers teams, which play in regional and local leagues respectively.

Coaching

In Bristol, I've had the privilege of tutelage in the game by Hadrian Stiff (coach of world champion Mohamed El Shorbagy) and John Welton (head of squash at UWE), who have promoted me to Assistant Coach at the world-famous EliteSquash coaching academy. I have coached from complete beginners to elite juniors and world-class scholarship athletes at UWE, working one-on-one in training and match environments. 

In 2025, I acted as lead coach for UWE at the British University and College Sport (BUCS) squash individual championships over two days in Nottingham. Ahmed Rashed, six seed and WR #250 at the time, won the A Grade - all previous UWE players to achieve this all went to top 10 in the world. Our players also achieved a Men's B Grade win and a Women's A Grade 3rd Place finish. In 2026, I supported the UWE Men's and Women's teams to win BUCS National Championships over two days in Edinburgh.

I also hold an England Squash Participation Coach Award (Level 1) and an England Squash Club Coach Award (Level 2).
